Los flotadores representaban diferentes oficios, y las pancartas llevaban consignas sindicales, como \u00abla unidad es la fuerza\u00bb.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>El establecimiento del Labour Day reflej\u00f3 la influencia del movimiento sindical en Nueva Zelanda en 1880 y los esfuerzos que realizaban para mejorar las condiciones de empleo para los trabajadores.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfDesde cu\u00e1ndo se celebra el Labour Day?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>En 1899, el Parlamento legisl\u00f3 para hacer del Labour Day un d\u00eda festivo<\/strong>. Fue el primer d\u00eda festivo en Nueva Zelanda no asociado con la religi\u00f3n, los cumplea\u00f1os reales o los aniversarios del asentamiento provincial.
